He served as an Instructor in Federal Trial Practice at the University of Mississippi School of Law, and authored “The Status of Liability of Multiple Tort Feasors Under §85-5-7", Mississippi Defense Lawyers Quarterly (1994). John Dunbar also served as the City Attorney of Oxford, Mississippi from January of 2000 to August of 2001.
